Our role. We identify signers and notarize signatures. We do not prepare deeds, explain contracts or loan terms, or give legal or real estate advice. Those questions go to the attorney, title company or lender.
Common questions
Can you notarize a deed?
Yes. We notarize the signature on the deed after verifying the signer's identity. We cannot prepare the deed or advise on how it should be written; that is the role of an attorney.
Can a seller sign before the closing date?
Often, yes, when the attorney or title company approves it. Ask them to send the documents and instructions, and we will meet the seller wherever is convenient.
Do you work with sellers who live out of state?
We can notarize eligible documents electronically for signers who cannot be present, when the title company and recording office accept electronic notarization. Confirm with them first.
Can you return the signed documents?
Yes. We can drop off same day locally or ship overnight with tracking, and scan back documents when requested.
Are you a certified signing agent?
Yes. We are an NNA Certified Notary Signing Agent, background screened, with a $30,000 bond and $100,000 errors and omissions insurance.
